What We Believe

The Gospel

We believe in the Gospel — the Good News — of Jesus Christ. That all mankind is born in sin and we are in ourselves unable to live up to God's holy standard. We need a Savior. The Son of God Himself came to earth to be that Savior. Jesus Christ took on human flesh, being born as a baby and lived a perfect life so that He could pay for our sin through the shedding of His blood on Calvary. We believe that Christ died for our sins, that He was buried, and that He rose the third day, forever defeating sin. Salvation is a free gift of God and is received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Mission

We believe it is the obligation of the saved to witness by life and by word to the truths of Holy Scripture and to seek to proclaim the Gospel to all mankind.

We the Church

We believe that the church, which is the body and espoused bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons in this present age.

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God-breathed.

Our Pastors

Pastor Dave

Pastor Dave joined our church in 2017. A Wisconsin native, he grew up on a dairy farm near Ladysmith. He attended Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, MO, graduating in 1991 with a BA in English Bible. He served at Berean Bible Church in Ainsworth, NE as Assistant Pastor upon graduating, later returning to his roots near Ladysmith to spend several years in the general workforce. He met and married Becky in 2000 and re-entered ministry work in 2009. They served at Savonburg Bible Church (Savonburg, KS) and Christ Community Evangelical Free Church (New Albin, IA) before coming to Maple Ridge. The Lord has blessed them with 4 children: Brenna, Kyle, Luke, and Tanner.

Pastor Noel Mayes

Pastor Noel has served as a Pastor at Maple Ridge Bible Church for 15 years. He is married to his wife of 57 years, Pattie. Prior to serving at MRBC, Noel served for 35 years at Ethnos Bible Institute (formerly New Tribes Bible Institute). He spent his years there teaching as well as serving as President for over 14 years.
